Job summary

The Ziegenfelder Company is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure the quality of frozen twin pops and private label products at our Chino, CA facility. You will prepare raw materials, monitor processes, and inspect finished products to meet customer standards.

You will document QA activities, support sanitation programs, perform microbiological sampling, and record results in the data control system. The role requires HACCP/GMP awareness and comfort with lab work and HMI systems.

Qualifications

• One plus years within a food manufacturing facility
• Preference will be given to Food Science or Food Technology degree
• Experience with Food Safety, HACCP, SQF, SSOP & GMP and Quality Assurance process improvements
• SQF certification preferred but not required
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Standing up to 12 hours per day
• Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly

Responsibilities

• Prepare raw material inputs and monitor production processes
• Inspect finished products for color, taste, quantity, wrap
• Review QA processes and suggest improvements
• Perform CIPs and batch processing
• Participate in plant sanitation and environmental monitoring
• Collect samples for microbiological testing
• Record data in control systems and batch records
• Operate HMI to call ingredients for bulk processing
• Conduct quality checks and product testing
• Troubleshoot equipment with Production and Maintenance
• Complete internal lab functions and documentation
• Audit documentation for compliance
