Ingersoll Cutting Tools in Rockford, IL is seeking a Quality Technician for Final Inspection to ensure dimensional and visual quality of in-process and finished parts. The role requires blueprint reading with GD&T, and reviewing vendor certifications within a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a metal cutting and/or grinding manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic PC literacy with MS Office; AS400 or similar systems knowledge, with the ability to learn internal systems.
• Detail oriented with good documentation skills.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interface well within a team and other departments.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Perform both sample and 100% inspection for dimensional and visual characteristics for in-process and final inspection requirements.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation, including a basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Review vendor certifications for accuracy.
• Assist in development of written inspection specifications.
