Job summary

The Caldwell Group Inc in Rockford, IL is seeking a Final QC Inspector to join the quality team. The role conducts final inspections on finished goods, ensures conformance to drawings, specs, and customer requirements, and documents non-conformances for CAPA and corrective actions.

You will use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools to verify accuracy, maintain traceability, and support audits while upholding ISO 9001, GMP, and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Accurate documentation of inspection results and non-conformances
• Maintain calibration and traceability of inspection tools

Responsibilities

• Inspection and Testing: perform final inspection of finished products
• Rigging & Proof Testing: support rigging operations and proof testing
• Conduct visual, dimensional, functional checks with gauges and instruments
• Verify packaging, labeling, serialization and lot/batch identification
• Apply sampling plans (e.g., AQL, ANSI/ASQ Z1.4) as required
• Non-Conformance Management: identify and tag defective product
• Document non-conformances and escalate to management
• Support CAPA activities and corrective actions
• Documentation and Compliance: review records and generate reports
• Maintain traceability per ISO 9001, GMP, FDA or standards
• Audits support: internal, customer, third-party
• Equipment and Process Support: ensure tools calibrated and working
• Communicate issues promptly and contribute to improvements
• Safety and housekeeping: adhere to 5S and safety rules
