Job summary

Jabil in Florence, KY is seeking a Quality Technician to inspect components and finished products to meet specifications; you will document results and support CAPA.

Role requires attention to detail, ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools; on-site, with day and overnight shifts available and a 15% overnight differential. Great benefits and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in quality control or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and quality tools (8D, FMEA, SPC).

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components, sub-assemblies, and finished products according to specifications and control plans.
• Conduct various quality tests using precision measuring instruments and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, optical comparators).
• Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, including non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Identify, quarantine, and document non-conforming materials; initiate and track disposition activities.
• Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Participate in internal audits and support external audits as required.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to calibration schedules.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality-related issues and improve product quality.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of quality procedures, work instructions, and forms.
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects within the quality department.
