Quality Technician (Electric & Chemical)

Job Overview

Under general supervision, analyzes statistical control data to identify unfavorable trends in process and product quality for the plant. Involves process engineering and production supervision to identify and correct causes, and to minimize future occurrences. Monitors and reports on the success of corrective actions and the statistical control process.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform chemical and electrical tests, as well as raw material inspections.
  • Analyze statistical control data to identify trends.
  • Collaborate with process engineering and production teams to resolve issues.
  • Monitor and report on corrective actions' effectiveness.
  • Prepare and distribute quality summaries and reports within the plant.
  • Maintain health and safety practices when handling hazardous materials in the laboratory.
Minimum Requirements:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in quality within ISO-9000 and IATF 16949 environments.
  • Experience with laboratory instruments and equipment.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • At least 2 years of quality control experience in manufacturing.
