Goodwin Recruiting in Lake Mills, WI is seeking a dedicated Quality Technician for the first-shift role. You will inspect precision-manufactured components, read blueprints, and document results to uphold tight tolerances.

Ideal candidates have hands-on inspection experience or CNC background with precision measuring skills, and can communicate effectively with production, quality, and engineering teams. First shift: Mon-Thu, 5 AM–3 PM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hands-on quality inspection experience or comparable precision manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and dimensional specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills, including decimals.
• Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with production, quality, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of precision-manufactured components.
• Identify out-of-tolerance parts and document nonconforming products before they move forward in production.
• Select appropriate measuring equipment and verify calibration status.
• Accurately record measurements, inspection results, and accepted or rejected quantities.
• Follow established inspection procedures and maintain accurate quality documentation.
• Consistently work the Monday–Thursday first-shift schedule.

You’ll inspect precision-manufactured components, identify potential quality issues, and work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain high manufacturing standards. Whether you have experience in quality inspection or a CNC machining background with strong inspection skills, we’d like to hear from you!

Quality Technician Requirements & Qualifications:

Must Haves:

Quality Technician Preferred Background & Skills:

• Previous experience as a Quality Technician, Quality Inspector, CNC Machinist, or CMM Operator
• Hands-on CMM operating experience
• Working knowledge of GD&T
• Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined components
• Background in medical device, aerospace, or precision manufacturing
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or AS9100 quality standards
• Experience with corrective actions, nonconforming product documentation, or continuous improvement initiatives

What Success Looks Like:

You’ll become a dependable member of the quality team who accurately inspects components, catches potential defects early, maintains detailed inspection records, and communicates effectively with production.

You don’t need to have every preferred qualification. Candidates with strong manufacturing inspection fundamentals and a willingness to develop additional quality skills are encouraged to apply.
