Job summary

Willcox Matthews in Greenville, SC seeks two Quality Technicians to perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of CNC machined components. Roles require reading blueprints, handling tight tolerances, and generating CoCs.

Two shifts available with competitive hourly pay and paid lunch. Experience with calipers, micrometers, and NDT is a plus for applicants who can ensure quality and compliance in a precision manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6–9 years of experience inspecting machined parts.
• Experience with tight tolerances.
• Strong blueprint interpretation.
• Experience with inspection documentation and electronic recordkeeping.
• ASQ CQT certification is a major plus.
• NDT experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on precision-machined components.
• Inspect turned, milled, and drilled parts to tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and job travelers.
• Record inspection results in the manufacturing system.
• Generate Certificates of Conformance (CoCs).
• Maintain calibration records and apply calibration stickers to equipment.

1ST SHIFT: Monday–Thursday 7:00 AM–4:00 PM | Friday 7:00 AM–1:00 PM

2ND SHIFT: Monday–Thursday 12:00 PM–8:30 PM | Friday 12:00 PM–6:00 PM

We are currently recruiting for TWO Quality Technicians to join a well-established precision manufacturing operation in Greenville, SC.

With two positions available, this is an excellent opportunity for experienced Quality Technicians or Quality Inspectors with a strong background inspecting CNC machined components and working to tight tolerances.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on precision-machined components
• Inspect turned, milled, and drilled parts to tight tolerances
• Perform visual, dimensional, and process inspections
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, borescopes, optical comparators, and other precision measuring equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and job travelers
• Identify nonconforming products and issue NCRs (Nonconformance Reports)
• Conduct or support Nondestructive Testing (NDT) when required
• Record inspection results within the manufacturing system
• Generate Certificates of Conformance (CoCs)
• Maintain calibration records and apply calibration stickers to measurement equipment
• Work closely with machinists and production teams to communicate quality issues and support corrective actions

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• 6–9 years of experience inspecting machined parts, including turning, milling, and drilling
• Experience working with tight tolerances
• Strong blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation skills
• Experience with inspection documentation and electronic recordkeeping
• ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification is a major plus
• NDT experience is advantageous
