Job summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation in Elgin, IL seeks a Quality Inspector/Coordinator to work in a team environment ensuring calibration, documentation, and process control across manufacturing. You will track quality issues, support audits, and prepare PPAP materials while collaborating with suppliers and internal customers.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2–3 years in manufacturing, and proficiency with measurement tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting (2–3 years).
• Certified inspector/operator preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical data and procedures.
• Familiar with PPAP and AS9100 quality system basics.
• Proficient with MS Outlook and MS Office; able to use data portals.
• Strong attention to detail and integrity when handling confidential data.
• Ability to work with multiple departments and customers.
• Proven ability to draft and revise procedures.
• Ability to conduct training and support audits and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment calibration, validation, and maintenance.
• Coordinate quality issue tracking from internal/external customers.
• Provide templates and support for documentation revisions.
• Act as liaison for documentation in review/change processes.
• Maintain historical data and documentation records.
• Support quality processes, audits, surveys, and special projects.
• Prepare correspondence, spreadsheets, databases and files.
• Assist departments to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Complete First Article Inspections (FAI).
• Participate in the Quality Star Point HPT and Zero Defects Program.
• Learn lab, calibration, and receiving transactions; engage with ATR returns.
• Document PPAP supporting documents and conduct operator training.
• Support plant safety program and respond to safety incidents promptly.
