Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in Providence, RI is seeking a Quality Technician C to perform inspections, tests, and audits of complex developmental products and subassemblies, ensuring conformance to procedures and safety standards.

You will support NCR/MRB processes and document results throughout the production lifecycle. The role requires reading engineering drawings, working with precision measurement tools, and collaborating with quality engineers to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 6 years of related experience or 2 years post-secondary/associate degree.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspections on incoming materials and components per drawings, specifications, and inspection plans.
• Conduct in-process inspections and first article inspections (FAI) to verify product conformity.
• Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records.
• Generate and document Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and support MRB activities.
• Identify, segregate, and control nonconforming material.
• Manage calibrated inspection and measuring equipment, including verification of calibration status and coordination of recalibration.
• Maintain inspection, test, and calibration records in accordance with quality system requirements
• Collaborate with quality engineers in developing inspection requirements and techniques and implementing quality plans. Assists in evaluating defect data to identify trends and collaborates with quality engineers to make recommendations on process improvements. Routinely interfaces with customer representatives.
• Participate in product acceptance and release activities
