Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Quality Technician to uphold high quality across manufacturing processes. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork in a fast-paced plant environment.

You will utilize NCR and 8D methods, perform internal audits, and work with engineering, production, and vendors to ensure product conformance. A strong emphasis on data collection and problem-solving is essential for preventing COPQ increases.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' experience with measuring tools for quality checks.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work as a member of a team in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to plan and organize responsibilities according to company needs.
• Ability to make decisions and self-pace work; strong prioritization.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability using 8D/NCR methodology.
• Experience with Data Collection.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and measure/test product for conformance.
• MS Word and Excel proficiency.
• Ability to interact with multiple people at different levels to resolve quality issues.
• Must act in Vertiv's best interest to clients and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain attitudes aligned with plant targets on reliability, safety, quality and productivity.
• Apply NCR and 8D approaches to build quality into processes and products.
• Audit daily activities to identify non-conformances needing correction.
• Initiate, manage, and close NCRs; escalate recurring issues.
• Ensure quality products pass through all stations and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, safety, and vendors to ensure compliance.
• Support root-cause investigation and corrective actions.
• Update customer issue responses in portals/NCR system for feedback.
