Job summary

Clarios, Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a QA Technician to perform day-to-day quality control analysis, testing, and data review within a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on processing products and materials, ensuring compliance with specifications, and supporting audits and investigations.

The position requires at least 2 years in a quality-focused manufacturing role, ability to read blueprints, use measurement tools, and document results within SAP or similar systems.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing quality role (mechanical/automotive)
  • Strong analytical ability to solve programs
  • Able to read blueprints and follow instructions
  • Proficient with measurement equipment
  • Experience documenting inspection results and using SAP or similar MRP systems

Responsibilities

  • Conducts day-to-day quality control analysis, tests data, evaluates systems, and assesses products
  • Ensures smooth operations, corrects irregularities and maintains efficiency
  • Controls and reviews processes to meet short- and long-term quality objectives
  • Approve finished products, in-process material, and incoming materials against specs
  • Assist with QA audits and lead investigations on production issues
  • Execute inspection requirements and document data; maintain records
  • Cooperate with internal groups to improve inspection systems
  • Comply with Environmental, Health and Safety duties

Job description

What you will do
  • Conducts day to day analysis and tests several areas in the quality control program which include data analysis, systems evaluation, and product assessment.
  • Ensures day to day operations are carried out in an efficient and appropriate manner, correcting any irregularities.
  • Controls and reviews the organization’s current processes to ensure the short-term and long-term quality standards business objectives are met.
  • This is onsite 5 days a week third shift.
How you will do it
  • Approves finished products, in-process production and incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming requirements.
  • Assists with QA audits.
  • Leads investigations on basic production issues.
  • Execute inspection requirements Document data and information as required.
  • Maintain documentation and records.
  • Cooperate with other internal groups in maintaining and improving the inspection system.
  • Support additional QA technician duties as required.
  • Comply with the following Environmental, Health and Safety duties as a condition of employment:

  • Ask questions if something isn’t known
  • Report all accidents and injuries immediately
  • Submit suggestions to improve safety
  • Know responsibilities in the event of an emergency (i.e. what to do in the event of an alarm for fire, chemical spills, tornados, etc.)
  • Be a coach to others who are acting unsafely
  • Must have Lock-out tags after 6 months
  • Attend and participation all hazardous and non-hazardous waste trainings
  • Ability to recognize chemical hazardous labels
  • Spill management and clean-up
  • Capability to follow satellite accumulation rules and requirements
  • Proficiency to recognize hazardous wastes in your area and manage properly
What we look for
  • Required 2 years of experience in working in a quality position within a manufacturing environment in mechanical or automotive field.
  • Strong analytical ability to solve programs and ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions specified
  • Ability to use measurement equipment as required
  • Ability to follow a structured project management process including document meeting minutes, action items, and monitor progress Documentation of inspection results SAP or other MRP based system
  • Preferred Associate degree in technical field
