Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Quality Technician to support quality inspection and metrology activities at our Brookfield, Wisconsin facility. You will operate CMM and Vision System Inspection equipment, perform NCMR documentation, and ensure packaging conformance through daily audits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of quality technician experience preferred.
• Understanding of metrology fundamentals preferred.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Use quality inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, hardness testing, UPC scanners, paint thickness testers and other lab equipment.
• Operate CMM and Vision System Inspection equipment.
• Complete NCMRs and ERP/Oracle transactions as needed.
• Ensure packaging conformance through daily audits.
• Perform dimensional inspections of incoming raw material.
• Navigate document repository to locate inspection reports and blueprints.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships within team.
• Perform basic shop floor math and units conversion.
• Demonstrate problem solving and manage interruptions.
• Adhere to safety policies to create a safe working environment.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

• Use a variety of quality inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, hardness testing, UPC scanners, paint thickness testers and other lab equipment
• Operate CMM and Vision System Inspection equipment
• Complete Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR’s) as needed and complete appropriate ERP/Oracle transactions
• Ensure packaging requirements are met by completing daily packaging conformance audits
• Complete dimensional inspections of incoming raw material
• Ability to navigate document repository web page to locate inspection reports, blueprints and other quality documents
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships within team environment
• Perform basic shop floor math, such as fraction to decimal conversion, arithmetic and units of measure conversion
• Problem solving abilities, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage interruptions is required
• Consciously abide by all safety policies and procedures to create a safe working environment
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• High School or GED diploma required
• One (1) year of previous quality technician experience preferred
• Understanding of metrology fundamentals preferred
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Suite (e.g. Outlook, Excel)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independent
