Job summary

Milwaukee Tool seeks a Quality Technician to ensure products meet standards and perform inspections using calipers, micrometers, CMM and vision systems. Candidates will complete NCMRs, packaging conformance audits, and incoming material inspections.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, and 1 year of quality tech experience is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong communication skills are expected, with independent work capability emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School or GED diploma required.
• 1 year of quality technician experience preferred.
• Understanding of metrology fundamentals preferred.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Use a variety of quality inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, hardness testing, UPC scanners, paint thickness testers and other lab equipment.
• Operate CMM and Vision System Inspection equipment.
• Complete Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR's) and ERP/Oracle transactions.
• Ensure packaging requirements are met by completing daily packaging conformance audits.
• Complete dimensional inspections of incoming raw material.
• Navigate document repository to locate inspection reports, blueprints and quality documents.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships within team environment.
• Perform basic shop floor math, such as fraction to decimal conversion and units of measure conversion.
• Demonstrate problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, and ability to manage interruptions.
• Follow safety policies to create a safe working environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Use a variety of quality inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, hardness testing, UPC scanners, paint thickness testers and other lab equipment
• Operat e CMM and Vision System Inspection equipment
• Complete Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR's) as needed and complete appropriate ERP/Oracle transactions
• Ensure packaging requirements are met by completing daily packaging conformance audits
• Complete dimensional inspections of incoming raw material
• Ability to navigate document repository web page to locate inspection reports, blueprints and other quality documents
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships within team environment
• Perform basic shop floor math, such as fraction to decimal conversion, arithmetic and units of measure conversion
• Problem solving abilities, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage interruptions is required
• Consciously abide by all safety policies and procedures to cr eate a safe working environment
• Other duties as assigned

Educa tion and Experience

• High School or GED diploma required
• One (1) year of previous quality technician experience preferred
• Understanding of metrology fundamentals preferred
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Suite (e.g. Outlook, Excel)
