Sprecher Brewing Company Inc is seeking a Quality Technician for the 2nd shift in Glendale, WI. This role ensures the highest product quality and compliance with food safety guidelines across all Sprecher beverages.

The incumbent will perform daily testing, record results, and work closely with brewing teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvements in a fast-paced brewery environment.

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

Job Overview

The Quality Lab Tech for Sprecher Brewing Co.’s primary responsibility is to ensure that products maintain a high level of quality for all Sprecher beverages. This individual will also ensure that the brewery complies with food safety guidelines. They will liaise with various departments throughout the brewery to ensure quality standards are maintained at every level. This position will support our 2nd shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall quality of all Sprecher Brewing Co. products and packaging
• Daily testing and analysis of raw materials, in stage and final products to ensure proper specifications are met and of the highest quality
• Record and track all testing and analysis
• Work closely with brewing teams and communicate issues
• Ensure compliance with food safety and GMPs
• Ensure continuous improvement and find ways to increase efficiency
• Work with 3rd party laboratories to organize and perform analysis of products as needed

Requirements and Qualifications

• Strong background in brewing, beverage or food manufacturing preferred
• Experience in Microbiology, Chemistry or a related field preferred
• Degree in Food Science a plus
• Over 2 years’ experience in a quality control or quality assurance role in the food and beverage industry
• Experience controlling brewing processes and assessing beverage quality
• Knowledge of food production and manufacturing principles
• Very strong written and verbal communications
• High level computer skills and experience with quality assurance software packages
• Self-directed, personally motivated with strong attention to detail
• Incredibly organized and able to design systematic approaches for quality improvement
• Able to work to deadlines and prioritize workload
• Team player able to work well with others and contribute to a positive work environment
• Ability to perform all essential functions and physical demands of the job
• Heightened awareness of safety precautions and hazards for self and others
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, while focusing on meeting or exceeding expectations

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time on concrete floors and ability to continuously be active including but not limited to: walking, stooping, bending, reaching and crouching

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, while focusing on meeting or exceeding expectations
