Job summary

Eaton's CPS division in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Quality Technician – 1st Shift to inspect parts and products, document results, and ensure adherence to quality standards.

You will perform non-conforming part containment, root-cause analysis, FAI verification, audits, and quality reporting using standard office tools, contributing to production readiness and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• ASQ Quality Technician Certification preferred.
• 3–5 years Quality Tech experience in power/industrial environments preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts and products, document results, and quarantine non-conforming items.
• Determine root causes of non-conforming parts.
• Verify First Article Inspection (FAI) for production lines.
• Perform process audits and report findings.

We are a leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products for many specific segments.The Quality Technician- 1st Shift offers a full time work week of 40 hours and potential overtime.Hours: 5:00am-1:30pm.Full Benefits and 401k plan is offered to you day one of employment.The hourly rate for this position is $29.80 per hour.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. We are a leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products for many specific segments.What you’ll do:This position will be responsible for inspecting products to ensure they meet company and customer quality expectations.In this function you will:• Perform part and product inspections, document the results, identify and quarantine Non-Conforming (NC) parts• Determine the Root Cause of Non-Conforming Parts• Verify First Article Inspection (FAI) of all production lines• Perform Control and Process audits as scheduled• Report inspections and audits using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word• Create Quality Alerts and notify operators of quality issues• Investigate Non-Conforming Product, use problem-solving techniques to resolve issues• Contribute to pre-production quality planning, including developing Quality Assembly documents, attending product and process reviews and technical training of production personnel• Support Manufacturing Engineering in machine capability studies for new and existing machines• Support Gage Calibration System• Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policiesQualifications:Required (Basic):• High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship• Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographical area (50-mile radius) will be considered.
