Eaton is seeking a Quality Technician for the 3rd shift at Oakleys Dr in Richmond, VA. You will inspect parts, document results, and quarantine non-conforming items to maintain quality standards.

You will determine root causes, verify FAI, perform audits, and report findings using MS Office tools. A sign-on bonus and strong benefits support your career growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform part and product inspections, document results, identify and quarantine Non-Conforming (NC) parts.
• Determine the Root Cause of Non-Conforming Parts
• Verify First Article Inspection (FAI) of all production lines
• Perform Control and Process audits as scheduled
• Report inspections and audits using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Create Quality Alerts and notify operators of quality issues
• Investigate Non-Conforming Product using problem-solving techniques
• Contribute to pre-production quality planning and training of production personnel
• Support Manufacturing Engineering in machine capability studies
• Support Gage Calibration System
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies

Only candidates in the immediate geographical area (50 mile radius) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.Preferred Qualifications:• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics• Associate degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology or other technical degree• ASQ Quality Technician Certification preferred• 3 to 5 years of work experience as a Quality Technician, preferably in the Power industry• Six Sigma and Lean certifications and/or experience• Statistical Process Control• Understanding of delta-wye 3 phases transformer and resistive load bank technologySkills:Position Criteria:• Individual may be required to sit, stand and walk regularly• Individual must be able to lift up to 50 pounds throughout work shift .• Individual may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, push and/or pull.All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
