Madison Kipp Corporation in Madison, Wisconsin seeks a Quality Technician. This role supports manufacturing by conducting inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with metrology equipment and effective communication skills.
Applicants should possess at least a high school diploma, with relevant experience preferred. The position involves working in a manufacturing environment, requiring physical capability to navigate areas and use appropriate safety gear.
The Quality Technician provides quality support for manufacturing operations; conducts various inspections and audits to provide feedback as a base for measuring quality performance and identifying areas for improvement. Provides complete precision inspection of parts, fixtures, gauges, and tools to determine exacting compliance to customer specifications and requirements. Familiar with applied use of a variety of measurement equipment (handheld and stand-alone). Programs and troubleshoots advanced metrology equipment such Coordinate Measuring Machine.
Heavy Manufacturing Environment. MKC houses different machinery, equipment, processes, and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic. These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to noisy. In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand, stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to regularly walk throughout all the manufacturing facilities.
