Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in Yankton, SD, is seeking a full-time Quality Technician to perform in-line inspections and compile reports under engineering direction.

The role requires measuring with gauges, interpreting drawings, and ensuring adherence to MIL/ASTM/AMS specifications. You will collaborate with manufacturing to execute FAI/PPAP activities, maintain meticulous documentation, and expedite orders as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires close attention to detail and ability to inspect close-tolerance parts.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Familiarity with MIL, ASTM, AMS specifications and related inspection criteria.
• Performs FAI/PPAP activities and compiles technical reports.

Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech? Vishay, Yankton, SD, is currently seeking a full-time Quality Technician responsible for performing product inspections and compiling reports per Engineering direction.

Job Location:

This position is located on-site Yankton, SD. We are situated in Southeast South Dakota: on the banks of the Missouri River and minutes from Lewis and Clark Lake where you can enjoy a variety of outdoor recreational activities.

What you will be doing:

• Uses gauges and test equipment to perform inspections. Expedite orders at customer request.
• Refers to and understands assembly drawings, blueprints, specifications and inspection criteria procedures.
• Perform FAI’s/PPAP’s.
• Compile technical reports.
• Perform electrical/mechanical measurements.
• Determine compliance to MIL, and ASTM, AMS specifications.

What you will bring along:

• As a skilled specialist, completes tasks in effective ways.
• Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail in order to properly inspect the close tolerance parts being manufactured.
• Possesses product knowledge and understands product specifications in their designated area(s).
• Must understand tolerance designations and blueprint symbols and abbreviations
• Ability to interpret MIL, and ASTM, AMS specifications
• Trained to use all applicable test equipment required to complete inspections in your designated areas.
• >2 years’ related work experience.
