Job summary

Vishay Spectrol is seeking a Junior Operator QC Incoming Inspection to perform inspection of raw materials, components, in‑process and final inspections and audits of the quality program in accordance with drawings and specifications. The VISHAY Junior Operator adds value by ensuring material conformity and data integrity on incoming materials.

The ideal candidate will be working on-site in California, Ontario, and must support production, maintain inspection records, and assist the Quality

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with some college preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of routine inspection experience utilizing miscellaneous gauges and optical measurement equipment (e.g., caliper, micrometer, height gauge, go/no‑go gauges, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving inspection of material, components and assemblies per drawings and engineering specifications with data and documents.
  • Maintain historical inspection records and files during daily tasks.
  • Apply approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials after evaluating analytical data.
  • Assess draft and final label copy, using labeling regulations knowledge.
  • Perform first article inspection to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Minimize downtime by reducing production rework and recalls.
  • Assist production personnel in understanding inspection and testing methods.
  • Audit materials and processes.
  • Support the Quality Manager with other tasks as assigned.

The VISHAY Junior Operator adds value by performing inspection of raw materials, components, in‑process and final inspections and/or audits of the quality audit program.

Job Location

The ideal candidate will be working on‑site in the sunshine state of California, USA in the city of Ontario. Ontario is named “The Next Urban Center” and is just one hour away from the Greater Los Angeles Area of great beaches, entertainment, and a melting pot of diverse people and culture.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Perform receiving inspection of material, components and assemblies per corresponding drawings and engineering specifications with corresponding data and documents.
  • When performing daily tasks, utilize and maintain historical inspection records and files.
  • Apply approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials once analytical data is evaluated.
  • Assess draft and final label copy, using knowledge of labeling regulations.
  • Perform first article inspection of components and assemblies to determine compliance to drawings and engineering specifications with corresponding data and documents.
  • Minimize downtime by reducing production rework and recalls.

Rate of Pay

$23–$26 per hour.
