Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in Niagara Falls, NY is seeking a 1st Shift QC Inspector to help ensure product conformance and support production operations.

You will develop and perform hardware and software setup for QCI tests and report status daily, following ISO 9000 Level III work instructions. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, strong reading/writing and basic arithmetic, good manual dexterity, and the ability to train others.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.
• Ability to read and write to follow instructions and document results.
• Qualified to perform multiple jobs and train other employees.

Responsibilities

• Set up QCI hardware and software for test initiation and completion per production lot traveler.
• Conduct QCI testing per lot traveler and ISO 9000 Level III work instructions.
• Determine conformance to specifications and product performance characteristics.
• Prepare sample lots and test samples.
• Create test report spreadsheets per part specifications.
• Fabricate special test tooling and fixtures.
• Maintain organized paperwork, travelers, and logbooks.

Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Thin Film is currently seeking applicants for a 1st Shift QC Inspector.

Job Location:

Vishay Thin Film is located in Niagara Falls, NY. The site has a lot of natural beauty to offer including the world-famous Niagara Falls which are just a short drive away!

What you will be doing:

• Develop and perform hardware and software setup for QCI test initiation and completion per commercial or military requirements as specified by production lot traveler. Report status to Production Supervisor daily.
• Develop and perform QCI testing as defined by production lot traveler and ISO 9000 Level III work instructions.
• Determine conformance to controlling specification requirements and/or determine product performance characteristics.
• Perform sample lot formation and test sample preparation.
• Understand and create test report spreadsheet formats as required by individual VTF part specifications.
• Fabrication of any special test tooling and/or fixtures.
• Develop and maintain appropriate paperwork, travelers, and logbooks in an organized manner.

What you will bring along:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and write to interpret production documents and accurately record required information.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using a learned method or a calculator.
• Eye-hand coordination and good manual dexterity to accurately process small parts manufactured.
• Organizational skills to maintain a clean workstation.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instruction to take work direction accurately.
• Qualified to perform multiple jobs and has the responsibility of training other employees.

Pay Range: $18-19 per hour
