Pay Range:

FUCHS offers competitive pay commensurate with experience in a similar position. The range for this position is $18 - $20 per hour, but actual compensation will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.

Your Responsibilities:

As a member of the FUCHS Smart Services (FSS) team, you will be part of a driven community focused on providing our customers with world-class solutions that help push our customers forward. The FUCHS Smart Services Technician in Forest City, NC, is responsible for the care and maintenance of our client’s industrial fluids including coolants, wash and other fluids.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Collect samples from industrial fluid systems and perform laboratory testing, making corrections based on results
• Check and record system fluid levels, maintaining the proper fluid level on each system
• Perform routine preventative maintenance including hydraulic oil filter changes and system cleaning
• Input and communicate data including generating daily reports
• Material handling, lift truck operation loading and dumping
• Participate in daily communication meetings with site supervisor and communicate effectively
• Following procedures and adhere to all customer and safety requirements.
• Maintaining inventory of chemical products and weekly record keeping

Qualifications we are looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing / industrial environment and work independently with minimal supervision
• Mechanical aptitude is an asset
• Previous forklift experience is desired
• Basic computer knowledge/ability to navigate the internet & email
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs as needed as well as standing and/or walking for approximately 4-8 hours daily
• Bend/crouch/stoop and dip on a regular basis in order to obtain samples
