Job summary

Altium Packaging in Sparta, TN is seeking a Quality Technician to audit, test, and measure finished goods, ensuring they meet customer standards. The role emphasizes GMP adherence, safety, and continuous improvement across molding, packaging, and loading processes.

Responsibilities include executing laboratory tests, collecting samples, performing cycle counts, and communicating quality issues to shift leaders. A HS diploma and 1 year of related experience are expected, with ASQ preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• ASQ certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audit, test and measure finished goods to ensure customer standards.
• Apply GMP and safety standards per corporate policies.
• Utilize statistical tools to monitor plant performance and product quality.
• Perform laboratory testing and collect samples at set intervals.
• Inspect during molding, packaging and loading processes.
• Report quality issues and deviations to supervisors.
• Assist with inventory and cycle counts as required.

Location Address:600 Vista Drive, Sparta, Tennessee 38583Work Shift:12hr-D Shift (United States of America)The Quality Technician will audit, test and measure finished goods to ensure customer standards are met as well as follow our company's Good Manufacturing Practices.JOB SUMMARY:The Quality Technician will audit, test and measure finished goods to ensure customer standards are met as well as follow our company's Good Manufacturing Practices.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.Apply statistical tools and techniques to monitor plant performance and finished goods.Complete laboratory testing and collect samples at established intervals.Continually seek process improvements and make recommendations to management.Audit compliance with GMP policies.Performs process inspections during molding, packaging and loading.Audit for compliance to control plan requirements including process parameters.Perform incoming inspection of raw materials.Complete dimensional checks and report on product.Perform in-process inspections of manufactured product during molding, packaging and loading.Perform cycle counts and/or inventory of finished goods as required.Communicate quality issues and out of specifications conditions to appropriate personnel and with shift leaders.Other duties as assigned by management.Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.Qualifications:The requirements listed below are minimum requirements for the job.
