Job summary

Kerry is hiring a Night shift Quality Technician at our Banks Crossing, GA facility to support quality assurance in a fast-paced food production environment. The role covers record keeping, training and ensuring compliance with Food Safety and Quality Systems, with emphasis on maintaining high standards of ingredients and processes.

The position requires 1–3 years of quality experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to work 6PM–6AM on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years of quality experience, preferably in poultry manufacturing.
• Experience in food/pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining record keeping, training and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Quality Systems of the facility; perform GMP audits.
• Train facility personnel on food safety programs and cleaning validation/verification activities.
• Support CCP verifications and calibrations of detection systems to ensure top performance.

Our Banks Crossing, GA location is part of our Taste division and creates a variety of stock broth, soups, and bases. We have an immediate opening for a Night shift Quality Technician. The hours will be 6PM-6AM on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule

Key responsibilities

As a Quality Technician, you'll provide assistance in maintaining record keeping, training and documentation, ensure compliance to the Food Safety and Quality Systems of the facility; perform formal GMP audits, training of facility personnel on food safety programs, ensure all cleaning validation and verification activities are consistent with Kerry policies and procedures and federal regulations, maintaining the Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP), perform pre-operational and operational inspections of equipment and production areas, support with CCP Verifications and calibrations of magnet and metal detection systems to ensure they are in top performance, experience with allergen management, pest control, organic products etc.

Qualifications and skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution is required.

• 1 - 3 years of quality experience or experience working in a poultry manufacturing facility.

• Experience in food, pharmaceutical industry, or manufacturing environment is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

• Must use logical thought processes and deductive reasoning.

• Ability to communicate verbally and in written form.

Salary

The typical hiring range for this role is $20.00 - $22.00 per hour and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications. This position may also be eligible for a shift differential and/or overtime. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
