Job summary

Materion is seeking a Quality Technical Specialist for the Leesport facility to maintain quality systems, support customer communications, and drive continuous improvement within manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least five years in a quality role in manufacturing, with knowledge of ISO 9001 and the ability to lead audits and corrective actions across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience in a quality role in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems and quality functions.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 is preferred.
  • Experience working directly in a quality department is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support continuation and growth of the quality management system.
  • Ensure site procedures embed the applicable standard, processes, and customer expectations.
  • Lead internal audits, instrument calibration, and corrective actions.
  • Lead teams to reduce/resolve customer complaints and audit findings.
  • Maintain direct contact with customers and respond to concerns promptly.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs related to the quality management system.
  • Collaborate with departments to implement and modify procedures and training materials.

Job description

They must have strong technical skills and understanding of quality systems. The Quality Technical Specialist will be actively involved in regular customer communications, customer complaints, internal improvement projects, dispositioning, and general quality tasks.

You Will Have the Opportunity To:
  • Support continuation and growth of the quality management system.
  • Ensure all parts of the applicable standard, processes, and customer expectations are embedded within the site procedures.
  • Lead functions such as internal audits, instrument calibration, corrective actions.
  • Lead various teams to reduce/resolve customer complaints, customer audit findings, internal rejections, etc. in a timely manner and ensure identified root cause/corrective and preventative actions are effective to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Maintain a consistent level of direct contact with the customer to ensure a positive relationship and respond quickly to concerns or questions.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the site directly related to the quality management system.
  • Work with various departments to implement and modify procedures, work instructions, training matrices, forms, etc. where necessary.
Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems, quality functions, and technical products
  • Experience with ISO 9001system elements is preferred
  • Experience working directly in a quality department is a plus
