The Quality Tech 1 role supports the Quality Management Team by performing tests, inspections, and documentation to ensure product safety and compliance, while training staff and assisting with corrective actions.

The position emphasizes on-site work, adherence to GMPs, and a focus on peanuts with allergen awareness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Work independently in the absence of supervision.
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
• Role performed on site at a facility processing peanuts; allergy considerations are present.

Responsibilities

• Train Quality Tech employees in procedures and duties.
• Evaluate performance of Quality Tech staff.
• Prepare and complete quality and production forms, labels, and data entry accurately.
• Conduct standardized tests of peanut ingredients and report concerns to Quality Management Team.
• Inspect incoming peanuts, packaging, and ingredients to ensure standards are met.
• Assist in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions as directed.
• Document data entry of quality tests and results; notify supervisor of defects.
• Review quality and production documentation to ensure parameters are met.
