Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Kings Mountain, NC is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to help ensure product safety and quality. You will perform in-process and finished product quality tests, document results, and collaborate with the team to uphold our high standards.

Responsibilities include sampling, testing, record-keeping, GMP compliance, sanitation checks, audits, and calibration support while helping maintain the lab and equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong basic math skills and safety-conscious attitude.
• Organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to wear PPE and follow safety rules.
• Basic computer skills for quality data entry and summarization.
• GMP and sanitation standards knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples, perform tests, and collaborate with the team to meet standards.
• Maintain records of testing, audits, and tasks performed.
• Communicate test results and corrective actions to the team.
• Perform product quality tests and ensure food safety following standard work.
• Assist with lab equipment calibration and updating documentation.
• Generate shift reports detailing issues and opportunities.
• Help maintain a clean, organized lab and ensure supplies are stocked.
