Job summary

SunOpta is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician I to test and inspect products at multiple stages of production. You will release ingredients and finished goods, perform micro testing, and compile data to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

This role emphasizes adherence to GMPs, sanitation, and effective communication with production teams. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, with a background in Food Science or Microbiology preferred, and at least two years

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; background in Food Science or Microbiology preferred.
• Preferably at least two years' experience in food manufacturing.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are critical.

Responsibilities

• Release for all ingredients and finished goods.
• Perform micro testing including plating, dilutions, and analysis.
• Conduct preoperational inspections of equipment.
• Analyze incoming ingredients and finished products with Certificate of Analysis.
• Maintain GMPs and sanitation procedures.
• Participate in lab safety and housekeeping tasks.
