Job summary

Lightera, a growing manufacturing company in Carrollton, GA, seeks a Quality Supervisor to organize and schedule the In-process and Final Inspectors’ daily activities, ensuring compliance with OFS specifications and customer ship dates. You will provide hands-on technical support to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.

You will lead quality team members, develop quality control procedures, and monitor testing procedures, data, and documentation to ensure product conformity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline.
• 2 - 4 years quality experience or related area
• 5 - 7 years manufacturing experience, with strong emphasis on Quality Management
• 3 – 5 years proven experience in a leadership role leading and developing people
• Previous manufacturing experience at the supervisory or management level
• Able to motivate, influence, and train/develop people
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal)
• Advanced Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Applications
• Excellent time management, setting priorities, motivational and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Leads and directs the day-to-day activities of Quality Team Members and organizes workflow and scheduling.
• Develops, implements and maintains the activities of quality control systems.
• Oversees development and implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products.
• Makes recommendations for corrective action necessary to ensure conformity with quality specifications.
• Ensures finished products conform to customer and company standards and satisfy good manufacturing practices regulations.
• Interviews job applicants for open quality inspector jobs.
• Reviews and analyzes quality problems cited on hold/stop tags and follows up to ensure corrective action.
• Maintains daily, weekly, and monthly reports and documentation as required.
