Job summary

IEM in Jacksonville seeks a Quality Systems Technician to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of digital quality systems, smart tools, and quality infrastructure within our manufacturing operations.

You will set up systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and help integrate quality processes with engineering, IT, and shop-floor teams, while contributing to SOPs, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical certification in Quality, Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 2+ years in manufacturing or engineering support, preferably with quality or production systems.
• Experience with programming, scripting, or data visualization tools such as Python, SQL, VBA.
• Familiarity with EQMS platforms or smart inspection technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting in hardware and software.
• Ability to read technical drawings and system diagrams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and digital quality tools.
• Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.
• Promotable with growth potential in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and validate quality systems including smart tools and digital inspection devices.
• Troubleshoot EQMS platforms, smart inspection systems, and data capture tools.
• Integrate new tools into production with engineering, IT, and quality teams.
• Maintain process flows, control plans, and digital documentation related to quality system infrastructure.
• Digitize and standardize quality and traceability records.
• Develop SOPs, work instructions, and user guides for quality systems.
• Participate in pilot runs to validate functionality and integration of smart quality tools.
• Provide technical support to shop floor users.
• Assist in quality-related training for new tools and systems.
• Coordinate with vendors for software/hardware updates.
• Develop and update programs/scripts for data validation, data sorting, automation, and dashboards.
