Job summary

Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM) in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Quality Engineer to support ISO 9001 compliance across the manufacturing site.

This onsite role collaborates with product, process, and engineering teams to monitor quality metrics and drive improvement. You'll write technical reports, manage PFMEA, implement Six Sigma methods, and develop robust quality processes while ensuring customer and industry specifications are met.

Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing quality processes in a plant or similar setting.
• Knowledge of switchgear systems, power distribution, protection schemes and applicable standards (UL 891, UL 1558, IEEE C37).
• Six Sigma methodology (green belt required, black belt preferred).
• Experience with development, manufacturing and testing of equipment and fixtures for electrical connectors, harnesses or equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collate, analyze and monitor quality metrics against defined objectives.
• Write technical reports to management revealing quality levels, problems and cost of quality.
• Optimize manufacturability, assembly, testability, cost and quality of components and final product.
• Monitor product performance/quality by gathering data and producing statistical reports.
• PFMEA and new program implementation including tooling and processes to mitigate risk.
