Job summary

Magna Mechatronics, Mirrors & Lighting seeks a Quality Systems Supervisor to lead and sustain the QMS, drive audits, CAPA, document control, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced automotive environment in Michigan.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 5+ years in quality assurance. Collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supplier Quality is essential, with a strong emphasis on data-driven improvements and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years in quality assurance, quality systems, or manufacturing quality.
• Experience with IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and quality improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Plan, conduct, and support internal, customer, and third-party audits.
• Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities and root-cause analysis.
• Manage document control processes, work instructions, procedures, and quality records.
• Monitor quality metrics and recommend improvements based on data analysis.
• Coordinate management review activities and quality reporting.
• Support launch activities, change management, and process validation efforts.
• Train employees on quality system requirements and procedures.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, and Supplier Quality teams to resolve quality issues.

This position leads quality system activities, internal and external audits, corrective action programs, document control processes, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting operational excellence and customer satisfaction. This summary is consistent with both internal quality-system roles and external quality-systems benchmarks. Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS). Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and company procedures. Plan, conduct, and support internal, customer, and third-party audits. Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities, including root cause analysis and effectiveness verification. Manage document control processes, work instructions, procedures, and quality records. Monitor quality metrics and recommend improvements based on data analysis. Coordinate management review activities and quality reporting. Support launch activities, change management, and process validation efforts. Train employees on quality system requirements and procedures.
