Job summary

Gradel Professional Search is representing a growing metals manufacturer in the Minneapolis area seeking a Quality Systems Manager. You will strengthen the quality management system, drive continuous improvement, and partner with cross-functional teams to support growth.

The role reports to the Director of Quality and offers an opportunity to shape processes, ensure compliance with ISO 9001/13485 and AS9100, and lead multi-site quality initiatives in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; high school diploma or GED required.
• 10+ years of progressive quality management experience in manufacturing.
• Experience leading quality professionals and interpreting quality metrics, operational data, and budgets.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office; Epicor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve the QMS in alignment with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, and customer-specific requirements.
• Lead internal audits, coordinate external audits, and maintain certification readiness.
• Own corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes, root cause investigations, and effectiveness verification.
• Conduct compliance gap assessments and lead risk management activities.
• Manage document control, nonconformance records, customer complaints, and change management workflows.
• Establish quality objectives and performance metrics, report results, and facilitate management reviews.
• Develop quality training and guide cross-functional teams in implementing system improvements.

What You’ll Contribute

Skills Requirements

• At least 10 years of progressive quality management experience in manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; high school diploma or GED required.
• Experience leading quality professionals and interpreting quality metrics, operational data, and budgets.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office; Epicor experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, project ownership, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Custom metals fabrication or contract manufacturing experience and multi-site support experience preferred.
• ASQ or ISO 9001 certification and experience with project management, Lean/Six Sigma, ITAR, or NADCAP preferred.
• Depending on the assigned facility, ability to meet applicable export-control requirements through U.S. Person status, an exemption, or an export-control license.
