Job summary

DeLong’s, Inc. is a premier, family-owned structural steel fabricator with a 100+ year legacy.

We seek an experienced Quality Manager to lead our Quality Management System, maintain certifications, and drive continuous improvement across welding, inspection, and customer-facing quality activities. The role requires a 4-year degree and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to collaborate with Production, Engineering, and DOT personnel.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication, welding, inspection practices, and quality management systems.
• Experience interpreting drawings, specifications, welding procedures, codes, and customer requirements.
• Demonstrated experience investigating quality issues and applying corrective actions.
• CWI certification and bridge/structural steel fabrication experience are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the Quality Management System and ensure certifications are current.
• Serve as primary quality representative with customers, DOT personnel, and inspectors.
• Coordinate audits, NCR resolutions, and corrective actions to improve quality.
• Mentor QC personnel and promote continuous quality improvement across operations.
• Lead discussions on welding procedures, inspections, and calibration of inspection equipment.
