Job summary

DeLong’s, Inc. is a premier, family-owned structural steel fabricator with 100+ years of legacy representing safety, quality and on-time delivery.

The Quality Manager will lead the quality program, ensuring conformance to AWS, AISC, DOT and customer specs, while guiding welding, inspection, documentation, and employee development within the QMS. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader who proactively prevents issues through training, standardized processes, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication, welding, inspection, and quality management systems.
Experience interpreting drawings, specifications, welding procedures, codes, and customer requirements.
CWI certification and an engineering degree are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead and improve the Quality Management System, maintaining certifications.
Coordinate audits and ensure procedures align with codes and customer requirements.
Provide technical leadership for welding procedures, inspections, and NDT coordination.
Track quality KPIs and drive preventive actions across fabrication processes.
