Job summary

RK Industries in Aurora, CO seeks a Lead Quality Shop Manager to own the Quality Management System across fabrication and manufacturing facilities, driving compliance, craftsmanship, and operational excellence.

You will lead people, processes, and quality initiatives to meet project requirements, codes, and accreditation standards, influencing strategy and lean practices while mentoring teams across the business.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in manufacturing operations with leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or Business Administration preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing experience; Six Sigma Black Belt is a strong plus.
• Deep knowledge of ISO QMS, ASME, and AISC standards; blueprint reading and QA testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality System Management across facilities and ensure compliance.
• Maintain accreditation programs and guide external audits.
• Direct inspection and testing using QA/QC systems.
• Collaborate with departments to transition design to production.
• Oversee quality records and reporting to stakeholders.
• Monitor site facilities to ensure codes and client specs.
• Mentor and train staff on installation practices and standards.
• Apply Lean to drive continuous improvement.
• Promote safety culture and stop-work authority.
