Job summary

Silver Line Recruiting LLC is seeking a Quality Manager for an industrial coatings and finishing operation in Ohio. The role emphasizes admin and process improvement of the quality system, not only inspections, to strengthen ISO 9001 alignment and customer-specific requirements.

You'll develop procedures, lead audits, and work with customers to resolve quality issues. The position reports to the COO and involves hands-on interaction with production staff to embed quality into daily work.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and maintaining or improving a QMS.
• Ability to develop quality procedures and work instructions.
• Experience addressing customer quality issues, audits, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection processes.
• Maintain and strengthen the ISO 9001 QMS and lead internal audits.
• Address customer quality concerns and implement their requirements.
• Integrate quality checks into the production process for ownership by staff.
• Use production software and tablets to track inspections and nonconformances.
• Analyze defects and customer complaints to identify improvement opportunities.
• Oversee corrective actions, documentation, and quality performance metrics.
• Collaborate with production to meet coating, paint, and surface-prep standards.
