Preformed Line Products Company in Mayfield Village, OH seeks a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to drive QA programs, coordinate the ISO 9001 activities, and lead supplier quality tasks. The role emphasizes defect reduction, test method development, and robust documentation across plants and customers.

The successful candidate will plan QA systems, analyze processes, and participate in internal audits. Strong reading of blueprints and travel up to 20% are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a technical field; Quality Engineering preferred.
• Minimum five years of hands-on QA/manufacturing experience with emphasis on measurement, testing, documentation, and ISO 9001 exposure.
• ASQ Quality Engineering Certification is desirable but not required.
• Ability to use a computer and applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with MiniTab or other statistical analysis software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and administer quality assurance/control systems.
• Perform analysis of testing and inspection procedures to ensure adequacy and compliance.
• Use metrology and statistical methods to diagnose and correct improper quality control practices.
• Review requests for proposals for projects and identify concerns or exceptions based on Quality issues.
• Participate as QA representative on project teams to ensure adequate inspections, testing, and documentation.
• Act as PLP Quality representative in customer and third-party audits of PLP facilities.
• Establish performance metrics for PLP Quality systems and oversee periodic reporting.
• Assist the Manager of Quality Assurance in development and maintenance of global standards and quality systems.
