Job summary

Precoat Metals is seeking a Quality Engineer for our Greenfield, IN plant to lead ISO and product quality analysis, and identify system improvements. You will work with the team to ensure statistical improvements are achieved and sustained, collaborating across shifts and functions.

You will implement corrective/preventive actions, drive training and data-driven improvements, and travel up to 15% to support multiple plants as needed.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience in a quality role.
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience is required.
• Interpersonal Savvy and the ability to build relationships is essential.
• Strong planning, organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to design practices, tools and processes for remote monitoring and management.
• Experience in quality control program operations, including standards and measurement techniques.
• Ability to apply quality control theories and principles to an operational environment.
• Strong reasoning for problem identification and use of statistical/business improvement tools.
• Travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Establish programs, policies and procedures to evaluate processes, products, equipment and testing/measurement facilities.
• Support corrective and preventative action systems, non-conformances, and audits.
• Communicate improvement projects and training materials to leaders and employees.
• Drive adoption of changes across operating units with a win-win approach.
• Motivate individuals without direct reporting lines.
• Implement structured analysis in complex on-demand problem solving.
