Job summary

SpringSeal, Inc. is seeking a quality expert on 2nd or 3rd shift to safeguard product safety and compliance while elevating the QMS. You will calibrate test equipment, prepare data, maintain QMS documents, and identify opportunities to strengthen process controls.

You will review overnight alerts, verify machine parameters, document nonconformances, and update Excel trackers for leadership. 5S standards and safe, efficient improvements are emphasized throughout.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in science/engineering or equivalent with 2+ years in Quality (preferred) or 5+ years in Quality with a high school/equivalent.
• Strong math and unit-conversion abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Clear communication and team collaboration.
• Hands-on use of calipers, micrometers, and durometers.
• Experience with Vision Measuring Systems is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret tolerances.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials and in-process products; identify nonconformances and generate reports per procedure.
• Dispostion of nonconforming materials (quarantine, rework, scrap, or return).
• Create and maintain clear work instructions and SOPs.
• Develop and update Excel tracking sheets; analyze trends for management reporting.
• Conduct process audits to verify machine settings and operator adherence.
• Verify measurements with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Maintain 5S clean and organized workspace.
• Support Engineering and Production in quality-related problem solving.
• Maintain calibration status of test equipment and records.
• Prepare test data and QMS documents; identify QC improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
