Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations in QC. You will supervise the quality inspectors, monitor daily activities, and ensure adherence to procedures and schedules on the 2nd shift.

The role requires 5+ years in QA/QC, experience in FDA-regulated environments (ISO 13485 preferred), and proficiency with MS Word/Excel, MasterControl, and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift personnel in the quality control department with high safety and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot problems arising on the shop floor with engineering support from Quality Engineering functions.
• Maintain close observation of quality requirements to keep management informed and conform to schedule.
• Promote and support site quality/safety lean initiatives and training programs.
• Routinely evaluate team member performance and identify training needs; coach and counsel.
• Review and approve work time in timekeeping system; verify hours worked.
• Identify quality issues, initiate nonconformance reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Author quality notifications such as deviations and OOS.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, ISO standards and FDA regulations; perform root cause analyses.
• Manage team performance, recruit, train and address issues; liaise with customers and other departments.
• Ensure QC inspections follow procedures and data integrity; escalate issues appropriately.
• Other duties as assigned.
