Job summary

Nextpower seeks a Quality Systems Engineer in Mesa, AZ to support and maintain the QMS, documentation, and compliance activities. The role collaborates with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing and other teams to ensure accurate, controlled quality data and processes in alignment with manufacturing and business needs.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of ISO 9001, document control practices, and quality systems within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years in quality systems or related field; or 3+ years with Master's.
• Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Experience managing controlled documentation and change control.
• Experience supporting quality-system audits.
• Experience with enterprise systems (PLM/ERP/MES/QMS).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support the QMS aligned with internal requirements and standards.
• Manage engineering and manufacturing documentation and quality records.
• Administer document control: review, release, revision, archive.
• Support engineering changes and documentation updates.
• Assist ISO 9001 audits and audit preparations.
• Identify gaps and drive corrective actions with stakeholders.
• Maintain calibration records and measurement equipment documentation.
• Support training records for quality procedures and processes.
• Ensure procedures reflect current approved processes.
• Provide guidance on document control and QMS requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality systems.
