Job summary

Nextpower LLC is seeking a Quality Systems Engineer in Mesa, AZ to maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and related manufacturing documentation. The role requires strong ISO 9001 knowledge, document control expertise, and collaboration across Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and other teams.

You will manage controlled documentation, engineering changes, and quality records, support ISO 9001 audits, and drive continuous improvement of quality processes in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in quality systems or related field; or 3+ years with a Master's degree.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and document control practices.
• Experience managing controlled documentation, engineering changes, revision control, and quality records.
• Experience supporting internal or external quality-system audits.
• Experience with PLM, ERP, MES, or similar enterprise systems.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and related quality documentation requirements.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with requirements.
• Manage engineering and manufacturing documentation, procedures, forms, and quality records.
• Administer document control to ensure reviews, approvals, releases, revisions, and archiving.
• Support calibration records and measurement equipment documentation.
• Assist ISO 9001 audits and audit-related activities.
• Identify quality-system gaps and coordinate corrective actions.
• Collaborate across Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and cross-functional teams.
• Support training and records for quality procedures and controlled processes.
• Maintain and update manufacturing procedures reflecting approved processes.
