Job summary

Polar Semiconductor, located in Bloomington, Minnesota, seeks a Quality Systems professional to develop, implement, maintain and improve the QMS in line with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and AS9100 requirements. You will drive supplier quality initiatives and oversee audits and change control.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Engineering or related technical field; significant experience may substitute for degree.
• 2+ years of experience at an ISO 9001 certified organization preferred.
• Experience with IATF 16949 or AS9100 and/or semiconductor/microelectronics manufacturing is advantageous.
• Lead Auditor experience would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, DOE, FMEA, 5S, Poka-Yoke, 8D problem solving and root cause analysis methods.
• Project management, continual improvement, and risk management knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, evaluate, and improve elements of the QMS.
• Administer and improve the Supplier Quality program.
• Audit suppliers’ QMS (3–5 travel opportunities annually).
• Help suppliers develop and improve their QMS as per Polar Semiconductor expectations.
• Monitor incoming material quality and supplier conformance.
• Maintain and improve change management process and lead change reviews.
• Participate in internal audits and lead them where possible.
• Provide QMS training and guidance to personnel.
• Write and improve documented procedures supporting the QMS.
• Plan for external registrar audits and host auditors.
• Support company initiatives and quality improvement activities.
