Weiss-Aug in New Kensington, PA, seeks a Quality Systems Engineer, Machining to oversee the quality system and drive improvement across manufacturing. You will train staff, implement AS9100/ISO13485, and coordinate with suppliers and customers on quality concerns.

The role requires knowledge of APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and PPAP, plus strong communication and project management skills in a tightly toleranced environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience in Quality Control/Assurance in automotive and medical sectors.
• Strong verbal and written communication, able to convey technical information.
• Organized and detail oriented with project management skills.
• Thorough understanding of APQP, FMEA, Process Flows, Control Plans, MSA.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-45208A, MIL-STD-45662, MILQ9858A; AS9100/ISO13485 training.
• Proficiency in blueprint interpretation, geometric tolerancing and statistics.
• MS Office proficiency; familiarity with measuring equipment and data collection systems.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and certify AS9100 quality system at the new precision machining division.
• Serve as Management Representative for implementing and maintaining the quality system.
• Facilitate management review meetings and report performance metrics.
• Lead internal audits as Lead Auditor for AS9100/ISO13485 and other specs.
• Manage ICAR log, issue ICARs, assist corrective actions and verify effectiveness.
• Interface with customers, sales, manufacturing and engineering on quality issues.
• Lead corrective action teams in molding and stamping; coordinate with customers/suppliers.
• Coordinate quality system training programs and obtain outside funding as needed.
• Provide guidance on automotive core tools: APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, PPAP.
• Maintain documents, training records, and the Master Databases on the network.
• Oversee Motivation and Empowerment Program database and interpretations.
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T; advise manufacturing and engineering on tolerances.
