Means Engineering, Inc. in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to manage the integrated QMS and audits. You will support testing, inspect products, and collaborate with process engineering to ensure conformance to standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; ASQ certs desired.
• Minimum 5 years in quality assurance; 3+ in contract manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with ISO9001, AS9100, ISO13485, ISO14001, AS9102, FAR/DFAR.
• Familiar with IPC 600, IPC 610, IPC 620, and JSTD-001.
• Strong English communication; clear technical writing.
• MS Office and ERP system proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage internal audits and address nonconformities.
• Lead audits for AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO 14001 and customer audits.
• Lead root cause analysis for quality issues and MRB dispositions.
• Review contracts, POs, SOWs to flow down requirements.
• Develop inspection criteria with Process Engineering.
• Analyze data to identify trends and suggest quality improvements.
• Lead MRB process and CAPA activities.
• Coordinate with procurement to flow down quality requirements.
