Placements24 seeks a diligent Quality Systems Engineer to join the team in East London, SA. The role focuses on maintaining and improving the quality management system, ensuring products and processes meet strict standards for manufacturing excellence.

You will drive continuous quality improvement, develop procedures, and audit for compliance while collaborating with production and engineering to resolve issues and enhance processes. Hybrid work available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Solid knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
• Experience with SPC and root cause analysis techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the quality management system (ISO 9001).
• Conduct internal audits for compliance.

You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and auditing quality procedures, driving continuous improvement in quality performance. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of quality methodologies and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of product integrity, playing a vital role in the manufacturing sector of the Eastern Cape .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's quality management system (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Develop and deliver quality training programs to employees across various departments.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
• Manage documentation related to quality control and assurance, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably within manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, etc.).
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
