Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and audit quality records, nonconformances, and corrective actions.
  • Support internal audits and quality system compliance.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends.
  • Create quality reports and dashboards for decisions.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering to meet specs.
  • Assist in product validation and testing.
  • Support MRB investigations and testing methods documentation.
  • Promote safety and quality objectives.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer will support quality assurance, process improvement, and continuous improvement activities within our manufacturing operation. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineering graduate to develop expertise in quality systems, root cause analysis, statistical process control, and manufacturing processes while working alongside experienced quality and engineering professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the maintenance and auditing of quality records, including nonconformances, corrective actions, inspection results, and test data.
  • Assist with internal audits and quality system compliance activities.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action projects using structured problem‑solving methods.
  • Collect, analyze, and report quality and process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Create and maintain quality reports, charts, and dashboards to support operational decision‑making.
  • Work with production, engineering, and inspection teams to ensure compliance with customer specifications and company standards.
  • Assist in product validation, process qualification, and testing activities.
  • Support investigations related to customer complaints, product nonconformances, and material review board (MRB) activities.
  • Help verify and document testing methods, inspection procedures, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects focused on reducing scrap, improving efficiency, and enhancing product quality.
  • Promote workplace safety and support company quality objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality principles.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop technical and quality engineering expertise.
Preferred Skills
  • Exposure to statistical tools such as SPC, Pareto analysis, histograms, FMEA, or Design of Experiments (DOE) through coursework or projects.
  • Familiarity with ISO quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of inspection equipment and measurement techniques.
  • Experience using data analysis tools or statistical software.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with Minitab, Power BI, SAP, or other data analysis and ERP systems is a plus.
  • Ability to learn new software and quality management tools quickly.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field required.
  • Recent graduates and early‑career professionals are encouraged to apply.
  • Internship, co‑op, laboratory, research, or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with quality, continuous improvement, process improvement, or manufacturing projects through coursework, internships, or previous employment is a plus.
Preferred Certifications
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification or coursework is a plus.
  • ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and/or ISO 45001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor training is preferred but not required.
  • Candidates pursuing quality‑related certifications are encouraged to apply.
