ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Serve as the main customer contact for pass-through products responsible for APQP / PPAP, quality issue resolution / reporting, and warranty analysis / reporting.
  • Oversee the maintenance, updates, and communication of customer-specific requirements to the organization.
  • Coordinate site internal 8D / A3 problem-solving activities, including proper tracking, completion, review, and reporting to management.
  • Act as the USMRP1 GA site Scrap Coordinator and recorder responsible for the weekly corporate dashboard. Work with each building head on daily scrap reduction efforts. Collaborate with the Quality Director on developing new site / customer PPM tracking.
  • Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to problem-solve, develop, improve, report, and maintain site quality systems, including electronic quality software systems.
  • Support third-party certification audits and customer Quality System audits (LPA, IATF16949, etc.) to meet required certifications.
  • Provide administrative support to designated quality systems (e.g., LPA, document control).
  • Support quality systems goals, activities, and initiatives as needed.
  • Develop and implement measures to achieve overall company goals.
  • Travel to support the facility as needed.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience.
  • Strong background with Quality Management Systems, specifically IATF 16949, including continuous improvement methods, problem-solving techniques, audit principles, and change management processes.
  • Understanding of industry core tools (APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, SPC, MSA).
  • Knowledge of calipers, micrometers, CMM, Vision Systems, and other measuring equipment, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with quality systems auditing and auditor certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including leadership and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively at all organizational levels and with diverse international backgrounds.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with flexibility for multitasking and problem-solving.
  • Ability to motivate team members and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Minitab, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and advanced skills in MS Excel, including data analysis and charting.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for directing and supervising employees.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Requires prolonged sitting; occasional lifting/moving up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Typical office environment with occasional exposure to manufacturing areas requiring PPE and steel toe shoes. Climate-controlled facilities.
