Job summary

Kraft Heinz in Granite City, IL is seeking a Quality Systems Technician to administer the plant Hold and Release program, manage the hold inspection process, and assist in disposition, while liaising with Quality Systems and plant units.

You'll perform root cause analysis, HACCP-related duties, monitor raw materials and supplier metrics in SAP, and support audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong Excel and MS Office skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Food Science, or Microbiology is preferred.
• At least three years plant experience is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of quality systems procedures and policies is preferred.
• Demonstrable expertise in the use of computers and standard computer programs.
• Microsoft Office suite knowledge, especially Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook a must.
• Self-managing and ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to trouble-shoot and problem solve, including skilled at-risk assessment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to travel if required

Responsibilities

• Administers the plant Hold and Release program and related quality processes.
• Gathers information and initiates root cause analysis for holds.
• Maintains CoAs and Approved Ingredient List as needed.
• Maintains supplier performance metrics in SAP.
• Audits QA systems for compliance and effectiveness.
• Administers the KHMS program and training.
• Supports Net Content Program and MSAs as required.
• Performs Positive Release activities daily.
