Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an Internal Auditor & Document Control professional to maintain and improve quality systems supporting manufacturing operations. You will conduct audits, manage document control, and drive continuous improvement to ensure processes meet customer and company requirements.

You will work cross-functionally to review controlled documents, support internal and external audits, analyze quality data, and collaborate with leadership to strengthen quality processes.

• Strong reading and interpretation of procedures and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of quality systems, manufacturing processes, and products to ensure compliance with established requirements.
• Support internal and external audit activities by preparing documentation, tracking findings, and assisting with corrective action implementation.
• Analyze quality data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and risk reduction.
• Create, revise, and maintain controlled documents, including SOPs, work instructions, forms, and customer specifications.
• Coordinate document control processes to ensure access to current information.
• Collaborate with department leaders to provide training and resources that support quality objectives.
• Assist in resolving product and process quality concerns through investigation and follow-up activities.
• Support efforts to maintain third-party certifications and compliance with quality management system requirements.
• Respond to employee questions regarding quality procedures and documentation requirements.
• Deliver quality system training to employees to promote consistent execution of processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
